Do it for me, please!

I could sound imperative when it comes to housechores. But i love taking care of our house. Doing the laundry, washing the dishes, cooking, cleaning and organizing. I am good at that. But mind you, i neither do these things back home. I can do it but who wants to do it when we have helpers at home. We even have "boy helper" who can do the carwashing, do the lawn and gardening. Yup, yup! It sounds like a home sweet home. All you have to do is pamper yourself and someone will do the rest for you.

Not anymore! In the US, is the exact opposite. I can't find time to pamper myself or a so called "alone time"...No, no! You do all these things. You do everything.

One morning, i woke up. I cooked breakfast. Set the table. Call my hubby and little one to come and join me with breakfast. We enjoyed our breakfast. Then comes the hard part. The cleaning and washing of the dishes? Can someone do it for me, please?

Who else will do it but ME..ughhh! Just a little story for the unattended sink full of dishes yet to be washed.

What time is it?

I am a very huge fan of watches. Be it brand name watches or fashion watches. I collect them and if i get bored of it, i give it away to my relatives and friends. When i was in college, my mom let me use her vintage watch. I call it vintage coz it was a "hand me down" from her. And it was a gift from my dad to her. WOW! It is still up and working. I was wearing it my whole college years. One day, a dormmate of mine asked me if my watch is authentic. It is ROLEX. I didn't care much about it as long as i have watch to wear and the time it gives is realiable. She inspected it and told me, Yes, it is original, authentic! When you own something that someone appreciates, you tend to love it even more. And that what happens to me with that watch. I am so proud to own it during those times of my college years. After college, i returned it to my mom. Now i am reconsidering to own one for myself out of my earnings. I check www.bestoftime.com for realible authentic Rolex watches that has good
deals and warranty life. So far so good. But the only thing that is holding me back is my budget. I will add this to my wishlist
and hoping somebody, i can afford. I would love to own Rolex watch. It is a brand name watch that you can trust. It would even
more reliable if you get it from somebody whom you can trust.

Wishlist Crossed-Out

I previously posted a blog regarding some of my wishlist items.  Thanks to my hubby who always grant my wishes.  Here is a picture of the Michael Kors watch i got on our monthsary in July.

I love this watch.  It is bold, huge and makes a statement on any of my outfit.  It goes well on anything.

Coming up is our 3 years wedding anniversary on August 5.  I hope to cross out another item from my wishlist...lol

Car Accident

It was 3 or 4 years back when i first learned to drive a car. I literally practice driving for a total of 3 days. I came to NYC to my bf at that time (my hubby now) to practice driving. I am a fast learner, so i learned right away. He visited me to Chicago where i stayed and work before to give me a final practice before i get a car and my license of course. Then the rest of my driving experience is history.

When i first move to NYC, with 1 week of driving off and to work, i met an accident. My car was really hit so bad. We only have liability insurance at that time. It was not a brand new car though, so we didn't care to pay high priced car insurance. We called several autobody shop who will take it for repair with a less costly charge.

Not long ago, i was driving along route 112, a main road in our town. With back luck or whatever you call it, i got into an accident again..NOT AGAIN?! The worst is, my baby was with me in the backseat. Thank goodness to her brittax carseat. Proven and tested to be safe. Nothing much happened except the front hood is damaged. It looked like it is not a bad damaged but when we take it to the autobody shop, it was really really bad. We looked for autobody shop irvine. They fixed it and I found miracle to my car.
My car looks like in pre-accident condition, it even looks like i just got it
from the car retailer.

Hip Click/Flat Footed

My baby Den2x is due for another orthopedia check up. When she was newborn, she was diagnosed with hipclick. Since she is 16 months old now, her pediatrician wants to make sure nothing has changed from the last normal check up.

I personally hate making a big deal out of it. I know it is nothing serious. Her doctor is concern so i have to worry a bit. Nothing to lose. Now from her last appointment, her doctor was also concerned about being flatfooted. Hay!!! I know some people are like this and do not care much. I post a survey via facebook and mostly replied about getting an orthopedic shoes or having den2x to walk in the beach sand.

I will try to do all of the recommendations and hoping this is nothing serious to worry about

The "INOT" Omelette

I do not claim this mine. One of my cousins-in-law have been posting notes on his facebook about breakfast meals. One of my favorites is this. It looks yummy and thought of sharing this to my fella bloggers.

Stingy on carbs but apparently yummy :)

Great for an after workout recovery meal and pleasing enough to entice those who just woke up.

- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- White onions - half a handful
- Asparagus -- cut the stalks liberally (4inches) discard then cut to 1/4 inch
- Vine grape tomatoes-- a bunch
- 5 Eggs scrambled
- Garlic Feta cheese --to taste

Saute' the onions first with the olive oil, add the asparagus for ~ 3-5mins, then the tomatoes. Sprinkle the "stinky" cheese just before taking off the pan..

Enjoy :)

SLS Free

I recently had the opportunity to try out new hair care products.  I don't have issues with my hair except occasional dry scalp.  Other than that, my hair is healthy, black and shinny.  I also just learned that Sodium Lauryl Sulfate  (SLS) and Sodium Laurenth Sulfate (SLES) are commonly used in shampoos, detergents, soaps and other form of products that we expect to "foam up".  These ingredients are cheap and are dangerous at the same time.  Since i learned about it, i tried to stay away from those products.  To explain further, you might wonder why it is harmful.  SLS found in shampoos are exactly the same as the ones you would find in a car wash or even a garage, where it is used to degrease car engines.  In the same way as it dissolves the grease on car engines, SLS also dissolves oils on your skin, which can cause a drying effect.  For more details about SLS, you can google it.

Then i came across the John Masters Organics Shampoo and Conditioner to be free from these harmful ingredients.  I bought the Lavender Rosemary Shampoo for normal hair and rosemary & peppermint detangler for conditioning.

When i first used it, i was not surprised that i shampoo smells really good.  The lavender scent makes bathing relaxing.  The shampoo does not produce suds.  Again, i was not surprised since the product is SLS free.  The conditioner also smells so good.  I have no issues with it because i am used to conditioners being not to produce suds.  I continued to use it and still am, i feel like i have a love-hate relationship with the shampoo.  I feel like it does not clean my hair since it does not lather at all.  My scalp has dried and even worse than before.  But i am giving it a chance for me to get used to it.  I will have to finish the bottle and see if i love it or hate it.  For now, i am confident that i am not damaging anything because of being careful with harmful ingredients.

My Thoughts:  As soon as my first bottles of each shampoo and conditioner, i think i will try the ones for dry hair.  I really don't have any other issues except my complain for dry scalp.

MAC Naked Honey Collection

The MAC Naked Honey Collection features honey inspired featuring golds and peaches which is perfect for the coming hot summer months. The collection includes 2 highlight powders, 3 eyeshadows, perfumes, body products, 3 lipglasses and a salve.

I only got the lipglasses for myself.  I feel like it will be well loved this summer months.  The lightest color is She's a Star, is a sheer shimmery golden color that looks and feels much like honey.  Unlike any other in my collection.  And by far my favorite among the 3.  Queen Bee is a sheer shimmery peachy orange.  I also love it since i am into peachy-coral lips...The darkest of the three is BUZZ, is a brick brown shimmery shade.  It is the perfect color to wear on its own and the most pigmented among the three.

Overall, the Naked Honey Collection is not super unique but gorgeous as the same.  I didn't get the other items because i feel like i have dupes in my collection.  If you have to pick up any from the collection, you might consider looking at the lipglasses, the eyeshadows and the salve.  I think i may need to go back and get the salve.

My Holy Grail Mascara

Yves Saint Laurent Faux Cils Mascara comes in a variety of shades, but the one I have been using is 01, High Density Black.  This mascara comes in a beautiful two-toned gold tube with the YSL logo.  The wand has a moderately fluffy application brush that thoroughly coats the lashes to create an ultra plush and dramatic look. When you look at this product, you know that it is high end.  Everything about it from the packaging to the formula and rich color point to a high quality item.

When i first got it, i was pretty excited.  I heard good reviews about it.  I have never tried such kind of mascara where i feel like i could fly with my super long, curled lashes.  It looks like i am wearing false lashes.  The product comes on smoothly.  I don't have any problems with smudging and stuff.  I can also re-curl my lashes after applying without smudging or clumping.  And the best thing about this mascara is that it is super easy to remove with a makeup remover and the like.

If any of you interested to try, i would highly recommend it.  Although, it is on the pricey side but it's all worth every penny. They are sold for $28.50 at sephora and where Yves Saint Laurent is sold.
