I Should be Doing the Same

At some point in time, as soon as my little girl is asleep, i have a notion to be doing the same.  But i don't understand what's holding me.  I used to sleep very early when i was single.  I am an early person.  I get drained easily at sunset and very much awake during sunrise.  My routine seems to be nice back then.

I am here right now, in bed with my baby, watching her and listening to every beat of her heart thinking, i should be asleep right now.

Oh well, i have been crawling in bed with my laptop and the great intentions of "continuing my work" despite the fact the i should be sleeping.

I don't know what's the whole point of this blog.  I just want to say I Should be asleep right now.

Products of the Week

From MAC Cosmetics down to a new level of obsession - CHANEL Makeup!  It is darn expensive, i agree.  But i would say, it is worth every single penny!  Since i got them, i have been reaching with it everyday when i wear makeup.

First of is the infamous Soleil tan de chanel bronzing makeup base.  It is the perfect bronzer for all over base or for contour.  I love it.  The texture is not mousse, it is not a gel but a bit of both.  It's just so smooth.  I used it as all over base if i want a "tan" look or sometimes i used it as a contour.

Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Rose Bronze - Oh my gosh! It is the perfect blush for all year round.  I would say, after a long search for a perfect blush, i finally found the ONE.  It gives me a nice glow without being too shimmery.  Ahhh, perfect.  That's all i can say. LOVE

Les 4 Ombres de Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow in DEMURE.  This eyeshadow combination gives me the right neutral look that i have been wanting.  It is so smooth and the texture is easy to apply.

To complete my Chanel look comes the lip products.

Aqualamiere Gloss in Candy Glow.  I love it.  I am seriously addicted to this lipgloss.  It is not sticky that's why i love it.  And if i found the perfect blush and eyeshadow for me, then this is the perfect lipgloss that i have been searching for so long.

And lastly, my first Rouge Allure Lipstick in Silhoutte.  I love it!

I am so proud to own one of the best and hi-end makeup in the market.  I would highly recommend any of these if you love makeup like me.  It is very well worth the money.

Grabs for Football Fans

I have never been a football fan in my life.  Or should i say i have never been a sports fan ever.  My hubby is a very sporty person.  He has been following every football season and stuff like that.  He doesn't play it but he watches it.  When he watches the game, i sit beside him and tries to understand every rules football has.  I learned a little bit but i get bored so easily.

Now that the pre-season has started, i urged my husband to sign up for the In-season pass offered by WaiverWireso that he can monitor everything about his team and his favorite players.

The In-Season Pass, will provide him with Real-time player alerts via email, text and/or web such as: Player injury alerts; Player news and updates, and; Expert fantasy analysis with every alert. The In-Season Pass is only $9.99. This price is nothing compared to what this package can offer. It is very cheap indeed.  It will not only give you real time alerts but the most comprehensive fantasy football rankings, projections, news, stats and analysis. It will give you access to Waiver Wire’s Fantasy Social Network and Community Forum and a whole lot more.

I also need to tell my friends who are football fanatic so they can grab this great opportunity to stay connected with the latest new and updates about football...

Sign up for an account now and take your game to the next level with WaiverWire.

My Little Jelly Fish

When my daughter first started to swim in our pool, she was scared and not so sure what to do.  She's like screaming and anxious.  Lately, she loves to swim.  She even cries when she will not be with ous by the pool.  Now she learned to walk by the pool stairs and tries to jump one step to the next.  She has gained her confidence with the water and she knows we are there to catch her in case...

She looks so cute in her swimsuit.  Her belly is coming out and her legs are just yummy.  I could bite them..hahaha!  Here are some pics taken last Sunday.

A Nice "Pick Me Up"

You may be aware that i have been into candle burning these past couple of weeks. I found a new love for these scented candles from Candles by Victoria. I have seen you tube videos from the past and kind of ignore it. Last week, i got to order online as i ran out of my candles at home. I burned all of my yankee candles, so i decided to give Candles By Victoria a try.

They have a bunch of scent to choose from. From floral, lush dupes, minty, bakery, and other scent that you can think of. I ordered the sampler packs. It comes with 6 jars. The price isn't bad if you just want to try it out. It comes in a small 8oz jar.  I have burned honey i washed the youngins in our bedroom and red velvet by my kitchen...They are yummy scents that you should try.  I admit, i don't have that "good sense of smell" but these candles are amazing.

Well, too much rambling...I am in my office right now "working" of course...I am burning the "Cinnamon Coffee" scent that i got with the package. It is good for my office. It has a nice pick me up scent. Great for me to stay awake while at work.

I just thought of sharing this to you guys to bring the magic of candlelight to your life.

You can check it out online acandles by victoria.

PlayHut (hide and seek)

We went to toysrus last weekend to get Denise a dora playhut and a chair. I can't believe at her age she knows what she likes and want. But i'm glad she still doesn't know how to ask for something to buy. We offered her to buy it and i'm glad that's the case. When i first set up the playhut, she was so excited to play with it. The funny thing is that, she walks inside the playhut. It became a walking playhut..haha! And another thing is that she turns it upside down to find an easy way in and out. My God! She is really growing so fast.

REAP Program

REAP (Residential Energy Affordability Partnership) is a program from LIPA for income eligible customers designed to help save energy and lower electric bills.

For those who doesn't know, LIPA is our electric provider in Long Island area.  Since yesterday, i was complaining about our sky high bill, we contacted LIPA to check our home and avail of this program.  Luckily, we are eligible for the audit.

A technician came, did the audit, checked our appliances and other electric operated stuffs.  What they did was changed any appliance that is not an energy saver.  So, the technician changed all of our bulbs and even our lampshade.  Now, he checked the refrigerator, it is not efficient.  Guess what?  They will send us a brand new refrigerator for FREE!!! wohooo!!!!

It is so worth it.  Check your electric provider if they have the same program.  You might be eligible too!  I am considering this might help us lower our electric bill next month.

Sky High Electric Bill

Wow, i received our electric bill twice this month.  The first bill came out to be an estimated reading.  Estimate reading came out to be $217.  So i paid that one last week.  This week i got another bill which is the actual reading.  It has an additional $385. That makes our bill for July usage $602.  What?

I can't believe it.  I called my boss and asked him how much he is paying for his home..He only pays not more than $100/month.  $217 for me is reasonable but 600+ is unbelievable.

So, i called LIPA to send a technician to see if our meter is broken or something...I have an appointment for today. I hope this will bring our bill lower in the next months.

Let's fire up the grill

Okey, summer time is almost over. I know...But that does not stop us from enjoying the sun and our bbq, swimming and all that fun stuff...Sad to say that our "hand me down" grill gave up last Friday. I was grilling some pork bbq and dried squid. My 1st time actually...It's my hubby who keeps doing the grilling for us. So, last Friday was my 1st. Congrats to me, tap on the back..lol!

When the pork was already cooked, i noticed that the fire went down. So, i thought it was okey. Then my hubby came home and finished the other stuffs on grill and found out that there's no more heat. We checked the gas and all that stuff but sad to say it's broken. We'll, Angelou's uncle had that grill for a long time. It's about time to give up and say goodbye to that grill.

Yesterday, we went to Loews to buy a new one. There's so much grill to choose from. We don't want charcoal grill, that's for sure. So, we looked for the ones that uses gas and something with a burner on the side. We really wanted a burner on the side for the dried fish and other smelly fish to fry outside. It stinks inside the house everytime we cook dried fish...i just love dried fish so much that i don't mind the smell inside the house...Thanks God, we found the perfect one for us, the ones within our budget.

So, we will be firing up that grill sometime this week and make the most out of what's left for the summer

Favorite Products: For Summer (at least)

For the month of July i have been using these products regularly. I found the love for these products the entire summer time.

First of, Nivea My Silhouette.  This is a clear-greenish gel that i rub to my tummy.  It's supposed to firm the tummy.

Bath and Body Work Sensual Body Lotion. My skin feels moisturized by this lotion especially during this time of the year when skin is thirsty and dry.

Mac Fix+ Rose. I spray my face with this product whenever needed.  It feels good and refreshing.

Mac 226 Brush.  It is a tapered pointed eye brush.  It is good to define my eyeshadow.  Perfect for my eyes.

Mac Grand Entrance.  This eyeshadow is a starflash finish and i apply it as an all over color.  Perfect for summer look!

Mac Improvise mineralized blush.  It gives me a nice glowy cheeks.  I love to use mineralized products in the summer for a glowy look!

Tell me what are the products you have been reaching these past few weeks.

Paalam Cory! Salamat!

The death of former President Cory Aquino shocked every Filipino people.  I have been following every show TFC show had offered from the wake to the funeral.  She has been an inspiration to each and everyone of us.  Her love for the country and her strength inspired us especially Filipino women.  She is very down to earth and a very God fearing person.  Even when her near death, praying the rosary is her priority.

In her last breath, she was holding the rosary and she was surrounded by her family praying the rosary.

In honor of her death, my Denise is offering to hold the rosary the whole day of her funeral.  Isn't it funny for her to know and understand what's going on with the world? lol!

Yet another wishlist to cross out

Yesterday was our 3rd wedding anniversary.  We decided to exchange our gifts the night before our anniversary. Good thing i received the delivery package that i ordered online as anniversary gift for my hubby.  You know i have no time to go shopping by myself.  So i decided to order it online.  I got him tshirts from ed hardy and affliction and a sweater.  He had been wanting that for so long but because of the price, he don't want to buy it. hehe!

He came home earlier than usual, we went to our room and exchanged gifts..i have no idea what he got for me.  I was really surprised to get the LV bag that i like so much when we went window shopping last time.

The anniversary day, our bell rang and a floral delivery is waiting outside our door.  Yet another surprise!

We went for our anniversary dinner at red lobster and eat out so much...

Nothing much happened during our anniv day because both of us are busy with our work.

I am so happy despite some disappointment i had during that day.  I am so thankful for my husband and my family!

I love you today, tomorrow and forever

The same day, today three years ago I made a vow, a promise to my bestfriend now my hubby! Yay! We are 3 years old!  3 years of being together as married couple.  Looking back, i can say, we are super blessed!  Yes, we are normal.  We fight, we laugh, we share so many things.  Really, we fight for nonsense, we argue but we end up catching up our differences.  I am happy and very lucky to have him in my life.  We are blessed with our one and only (as of the moment).  She is the most adorable little one.  Within the 3 year time frame, we moved 3x already, first two were apartments and now found our home...That is our biggest accomplishment next to having a baby.  Thank You Lord!

There maybe a lot of things that happened and changed. But i am most blessed with this lovely family whom i can call my own.

Here are few snapshots from 3 years ago when we tied the knot.

House Hunting

Yes, house hunting can be difficult.  It is very hard to find a home especially if you do it on your own.  Last year, we were on the go to find a home for my little family.  When we first decided to buy a home, we initially don't know what location we want and how much can we afford. NO! It doesn't work that way.  You have to know what you want and what to consider.  House hunting is very broad, and finding your perfect home is never easy.

I strongly advice to find a local realtor to help you find the perfect home for you.  I suggest to contact your Real Estate Agents to help you.

Luckily, our house hunting turned out to be not as smooth as expected but it was hassle free at one point.
We found our realtor and a friend in one!
We found our perfect and lovely home after few houses to look at.
We spent few weekends to go for open houses and to tell you, most of them are disappointments.
If we liked the location, we don't like the house. The combination isn't great.

We settled in our home after 4 months of house hunting and loan approval.
We were so happy to finally find our home sweethome. The one we can call our OWN.

Now is the right time to invest in a home and at the same time settle for good.

A Girl Can Never Have Enough

What a girl wants, what a girl needs..ahhhhh! A girl can never have enough clothes, shoes, bags, perfumes, accessories or makeup..At least in my case, it seems that shopping is never ending.  hayyy..

Yesterday, we have no plans for the day.  I asked my mom where she wants to go.  Of course, shopping. (like mother like daughter..)

We lived in between two tanger outlets.  Outlet? Yes, a discounted mall or stores of almost all name brands that you can think of.  We've been going to these outlets since the last couple of weekends.  So, i told my hubby that we will be going to the outlet and we agreed not to shop anymore.  Our budget has been tight and we have been shopping since the last couple of weeks.

We went there after lunch.  The no buying plan was a big failure.  I ended up buying 3 blouses at Bebe.  I got it at a very good deal.  In the mall it retails at $22 and i only got it at $9...wahhhh!  Then i also bought 2 tops at American Eagle at $6.95...wohooooo!!!! Great shopping experience for me!  Good deals, big discount.

I told myself not to buy at a mall, i'll just go to the outlet if i have the itch to shop.

Still Searching for "The One"

I am of course talking about fragrance. I am on an eternal journey of finding the one true scent for myself. I seem to find a lovely scent for me, then one day, it smells boring. I don't want to smell like someone my hubby works with, or same smell with a bank teller that i go transact with. I keep on searching for "the one". And in order to call this mythological fragrance my own, i have to love and learn about top notes, bottom notes, left notes, right notes and all that diagonals in between.

It is always easy to browse and look for online perfume.
I love mild yet pleasant smell. I don't go for flowery strong smells. Along my journey, i come across with pleasant and lovely fragrance. Then i would say, this is it "The Debbie's scent". As time goes by, it faded in to a boring scentless oblivion.

Most of us aim to never be one of "those people" who wear completely offensive amounts of perfume.
It is funny how intricately scents wind their way into our memories. When i go pick up a perfume at the store and i put it down. "Oh, I can't wear that. It smells like my mom, my co-worker, my boss or a stranger. And while the scent may be lovely it is tied in my mind to someone else, and therefore cannot be "mine". I don't want my hubby to misinterpret the pleasant thoughts associated with your scent as affection when it is worn by a coworker or other close contact. So for now, I am still left searching for "The One".
