I'm absolutely loving these new lipstick formula from Chanel.

I had finally gave in to these babies..The Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipsticks. I first purchased #44 Sari D' Eau as a summer lipstick. I caved and purchased another one which is the infamous #54 Boy which is a "my lips but better lipcolor. They are very moisturizing and glossy. No need to layer with any lipgloss. Mint Candy Apple from Essie is my favorite pastel mint green nailpolish. Very nice, perfect pastel mint green. It's very clean looking and opaque with 2 coats. I love the way it looks. It's a nice summer nailcolor but i have no problem wearing this in the cold season for a pop of color.

For those of you who don't know, we are planning on a church wedding in the Philippines sometime soon. So, i have been thinking and planning on little things such as shoes, wedding gown, motiff, etc etc. As for shoes, i know, i can dream on this but it's pricey!

Their palettes be it matte or shimmer are nice to haves if you are on a budget, new into makeup or even to have it in your collection.

I am most interested with the 28 Colors Neutral Eyeshadow or i can grab the 88 Colors Neutral Palette. I am most certain that this is the only palette you need for a neutral kind of makeup girl.

BH Cosmetics have combined the best neutral shadows. They also have color palettes or you can choose being matte or shimmer. It's really a personal choice and taste. Personally, i am going for the neutral palette as i get most use out of it.

Labor Day Weekend

We spent our Labor Day Weekend at the White Post Farms in Melville, NY. It is in Long Island and we are not far from the place. Perfect timing because my daughter's favorite character will be there. My daughter got to meet both Kai-Lan and Diego. The general admission includes everything like looking around the farm animals, hay ride and the dry bouncer (the my daughter absolute love)

Weekend Away with Friends

We went to Robert Moses beach last Saturday. It was a gorgeous day to be at the beach. We laid out, eat, play the sand, and most of all enjoyed playing with the waves. It was actually my baby's first time to play in the waters. It was a nice 'mini' outing for us.

There are times that i have the kick to write, and other times i have zero inspiration at all. I have all started using blogger and i have been thinking of getting my own webhosting. I have seen a lot of webhosting hub. I referred it to my friend who has better experience with blogging. She told me to just keep it as is for now. My blog is not as popular as others. Maybe one day i will need to get a webhost for this blog. Let's see. For now it doesn't matter yet.

I have been looking forward to a couple of activities before the summer ends. And i can't wait to blog about it. I am making the most of the remaining hot days. I can feel the breeze of fall air.

I can't be happier when this black box is waiting in my doorstep.

I was really paying attention as to when this collection will come out online. I am after with the overhyped mineralize skinfinish in Stereo Rose and Jazzed lipstick. And of course, i ordered some more to avail of the free shipping. I didn't regret getting these items at all. I think Stereo Rose deserves the hype and all.

Legendary, pink/coral MSF. No chunkiness, just good pigment and a sheen. It adds a nice natural flushed look...My must have would be Jazzed. It's an affordable shot of summer for us all and the formula is beautiful.

It comes in red, pink, blue, mocca, and another color selection. The one that stood the most to me is the mocca chic ring. But hubby insisted that it is not worth buying.

Date Night

I honestly haven't had a movie date with my hubby for over a year now. I know it is weird. It's just that when you have a kid, you can't go anywhere you want, and that's what happened in our case. The last movie we watched was the Alvin and the Chipmunks the Sequel with our daughter of course.

I heard about the premier night of Date Night movie this coming April 9,2010. Oh my God, that's already this coming Friday. I know a lot of my friends will be going out to watch this movie. A bored suburban couple played by Steve Carell and Tina Fey go on their weekly dinner "date night". And the date turned out to be something. They have been confused to be somebody by criminals. This is my kind of movie that i love to watch. If you haven't watched the trailer, I invite you to watch the trailer here.
I cannot contain my excitement to have the long overdue movie night with my hubby. I will be very disappointed if we can't watch it for whatever reason. I will sure post some photos of our date. I have already decided on what to wear for that date. haha!

Mommy Moments: Cars and Kids

Car and kids-our theme for this week...We decided to get a van as soon as i am close to giving birth. I want a family car and one that i can have everything i needed to bring.

Looking Back

Most often than not, I get terrible headaches. I even think I have migraine. It usually hit me when I don’t have enough sleep, or I’m overworked, too much time in the computer. The next day, I tend to get terrible headaches.

I don’t wear eyeglasses when I’m at home. I only wear my contact lens or eyeglasses when I need to like driving or when I know I have to look for something far. I don’t have problems looking near. So, am I nearsighted or farsighted? I’m confused now.

Not long ago, my sister was throwing up for any reason. I told her to have her eyes checked. The problem is that most insurance doesn’t cover eye exams and such. I should tell her to check out these cheap glasses.

I also need new set of eyeglasses but doesn’t have the money to buy one. My husband also needs to have his eye exam soon as he was complaining that he gets dizzy wearing his eyeglasses now.

Wow, I just realized from this post that we need to buy new pairs. We both are working most of the time using the computer, so I think that’s the reason why we tend to get headaches.

Some people advised to wear eyeglasses on daily basis to help promote good vision. Oh well, let’s see.

I spotted this cute little box at ulta last weekend. The box comes with 4 mini nailpolishes from essie. This is my first set from essie. I find their nail polish to be sheer and mostly pastel colors. I am hesitant at first but i wanted to try them.

Shades include lilacism, pop art pink, nouvaeu red and tart deco. These are lovely for spring ...

Spring Colour 2 Forecast by MAC

Perfect colors for the upcoming spring and summer seasons. MAC has launched yet another huge collection. But i made a calmer decision on what to get from this collection. I don't want to go crazy with the hype going on. So, i went to the mall tonight to check the collection along with the new viva glam lipsticks. I was almost tempted to buy it online before seeing it in person and trying it on. I'm glad i didn't. I ended up getting just 2 lipsticks out of the many. And i was kind og BLAH with the viva glam lipsticks and even with the infamous viva glam gaga.

From this collection, i got Color Me Coral and Fresh Salmon lipsticks.

Color Me Coral is a light coral with some beige it. Fresh Salmon is a medium salmon pink with a gold shimmer. I like both lipsticks especially i tend to wear coral-peach lipsticks than most pinks.

I am so happy with what i got. Photos and Swatches below...What did you get out from this collection? I'd love to know.

my weightloss confessional

Do you have excess skin from all your weight loss?

Sadly, yes. I need tummy tuck in my midsection area. I will be visiting a plastic surgeon in my future. I have to. I have so much excess skin. I didn't think I would need to, but it's so obvious now that I do. For example, my stomach would be much flatter if the skin that occupies the area was removed. I have a certain weight in my head though before I will visit one because I want to make sure when I go - it's the right time. Not to mention how crazy expensive it will be - I doubt my insurance will cover that. Something I will explore in the future.

I can’t blame my daughter because I got this flabby tummy when I got pregnant. I blame myself for not taking care of myself while I was pregnant. I ate a lot, like there will be no tomorrow. I gained more than 50lbs over the course of my pregnancy. That is silly!

The hard part was getting the weight out of the way. I just recently got back in my pre-pregnancy weight. I know it was hard of a deal. But I did it. The problem now is that, I can no longer wear bikini during the summer time. I need to find a swimwear that could cover my mid-section area.

Did you ever have the same problem? I'd love to hear how did you handle it.

These past couple of days, I’ve been busy sending out mails and packages. If you haven’t noticed, I did a makeup blog sale a week ago. So, I have been busy with putting the packages together to put in the mail.

My daughter has a coming birthday and I have prepared the invitations to send out very soon. But I have realized I don’t have return address labels I wanted to create my own label or return address but didn’t have the chance to design and all that stuffs.

I sent all the packages out from the makeup sale. But for my daughter’s invitation, I have yet to finalize and stick my own label in the envelopes…

I have been busy with sending mails lately even at work. Our w2’s are in and I need to send it out to our employees so it can get there on time. Luckily, I have all the labels for work printed out. Those mails will be out tomorrow for sure.

I woke up not feeling so great. Last night i had a very upset stomach. I made a few nasty trips to the bathroom. Then decided that i was hungry and was munching on doritos chips while in bed watching youtube videos. I am hoping my tummy will feel better today. The snow is very pretty outside but i feel sorry for my hubby. He will be tired before going to work from shoveling.

my weight loss journey

I have been on a battle to lose weight after giving birth to my daughter two years ago. Over a year, I got stuck on a weight that I thought I couldn’t lose. Just about the last quarter of 2009, I decided to focus. I asked my hubby to buy a treadmill for me to use at home. I started on here and there diet. But I focused myself on the exercise habit. I have been running on the treadmill for 2miles each day. I even used the sauna suit because I don’t sweat a lot like most people do. During the first few weeks, I only eat banana for breakfast, fruits, protein drinks and a one good meal to last me through the next day. The progress was slow, yet I was hopeful that one day I will get to the target weight. I continued with my routine until around December that I noticed a dramatic change in my body. I feel healthy and sexy once again. I can’t be more proud of myself. I have reached my goal weight and have maintained it so far up to this very day. The only thing that changed with my routine is that I get to eat what I want now, and still continue with my exercise routine twice or three times a week. Last words, don’t give up. If others can, why can’t you?

don't be too hard on yourself

When I saw this post available to me, I grab it right away. I think this is the perfect time to write something about debt and what not. With the current economic situation, recession and the like, people are more likely to get more and more into debt. And the question is, are they able to clear out the debt? Are they able to pay the minimum and increasing finance charges?

I know a lot of people who are into debt. As much as they want to pay it, it is just hard to pay and continue with the day -to day expenses. My brother almost decided to go for debt consolidationand one of my friends from Chicago has also settled for the same.

My husband and I have been discussing on how to pay off our debts. But every time we have set our plans, things changed. I got pissed by one of my credit card company’s who offered no payment, no interest until the following year. And to my surprised they charged accumulated interest the next year. As much as we want to pay off, these credit card companies will keep us down then next thing you know. With the coming tax refund, my husband and I have decided to pay off our debt with the highest finance charge. I am more than willing to sacrifice my budget yet not being too hard on myself.

some days...i wish I could go back and being 6 or 7 again...no worries except what to play...that little shy girl is still me....and my baby sister beside me. we are same little person...with usually the same dreams but different interests....I still like all the same stuff...dressing up, shoes, makeup, modeling, dancing and twirling....My sister is my opposite. She likes balls, bicycle, running around, and jeans. She hates wearing sunday dress and would rather make excuses so she can't come to church with us.

...and I had one yesterday...I was all ready to bed, and then hubby and my daughter came in bed with me, and something happened...*TEARS* something happened, that i cannot share here, it was something that me and my hubby have been trying to work out in our relationship. It looks like neither of us can compromise nor change. Oh well, maybe there are some things we cannot change.

I was hit with some "less-than-lovely" words.

then I realized...everything is all how you look at it....and I said, "you know, this isn't so bad....I've been through a whole lot worse"...this is all do-able....I can handle all of this....
I opted to keep my silence after an argument that is going nowhere.

The sun is shining brightly this morning....I have a smile in my heart....despite any "unpleasant" things I have to deal with....

Homemade Peanut Butter Cookies

I am on a baking kick lately. This is actually my first attempt to bake anything like cookies, cake or the like. I am a cook person but never been a baker ever. Since my daughter loves to eat, i figured cookies will be a healthy snack for her. And on top of that, it will be a good practice for me.

One day, i googled online on a cookie recipe that i can use a lot of peanut butter in it. I have several cans of peanut butter sitting in my pantry, so i figured i have to make something use out of it.

I found this recipe online (classic peanut butter cookies) and followed the instructions.

And to my surprise, here is the finished product. I actually shaped a few to look appealing to my daughter's taste. I would say, my first baking experience is definitely a success!

Today January 5 we celebrate our 9th year anniversary for being together with my bestfriend, boyfriend, now my hubby. I cannot even believe we have been together that long. Time flies yet the love keeps burning.

My hubby and I started as really good friends. I really didn't think that we could be more than friends. As i shouted in my facebook account "Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice, but falling in love with you I had no control over."

It is so right. I am still and forever be in love with my hubby. He is my everything.

I can't track our photos from 2001-2004. There was no digicam back then, lol!

Aims for 2010

Here are my new year's resolutions. Maybe by the end of December 31,2010 I will do another post and see how many of these i accomplished.

1.) Live Healthy - which means eating right, exercise more, drink lots of water or tea and avoid sweets and other junks. Nothing dramatic, just a slight uplift in quality of life.

2.) To stay on my size and weight right now. ( at least i don't have a dreaded "lose weight" resolution).

3.) Use more, buy less - Stay away from shopping (blahh! i made a deal with my hubby not to buy me anything for any occassion. I will ask for a one time big time gift)

4.) Hopefully to drive a bimmer before the year ends.(hubby really wants one and i will try to save for the downpayment) **fingerscrossed*

5.) To update this blog.

6.) Try to get pregnant after June.(scary)

Wow, i lost track of days. I never thought it's that time again. Mommy Moments #3 edition for me. The theme is about kids favorite food or anything yummy. Denise is a very good eater. She was even better when she was a baby. But lately, she's hard to feed. She's getting picky with food. She loves rice, soup, noodles, french fries, chicken fingers and hotdogs. She doesn't eat any fruit or veggies unless i put it together with the rest of the meal. She's trying to love banana lately coz she sees me eating it more often. So, gets a bite here and there...

Knock on wood but this is not my personal story. I have a couple friend who lives in New Jersey. They look perfect together and blessed with an adorable son. What i didn't know about them was the on the rocks relationship. They have been going through a lot. Oh well, they both have their own stories. But what i am pretty sure is that they have problems. And they seem not to get along well. I know they have researched a lot about going through separation or divorce.

Tomorrow, my daughter has a puppet show class at the library. I'm excited. We haven't been in the library for couple of weeks now. And i don't know how she will behave. Fingers Crossed***

My weight loss challenge is getting tough. I've been doing my daily run coupled with a healthy diet. I've been drinking lots of tea and water. I don't think i lost any weight this week but i feel a lot healthier than ever.

Christmas is fast approaching. And we have a party on the 19th of December with friends. I am going for xmas decor shopping tomorrow maybe. I hope i can find some good deals.

Oh wait, my elementary bestfriend Phebie just informed me, that i got PR 2 on my blog site. I have no idea what that means...But she told me, it's a good thing. And i have a good reason to celebrate. I am happy right now.
